About Furever Friends Dog Rescue of WNY, Inc.
History
For three years a founding member of Furever Friends had made frequent trips to Ohio to rescue adult breeder dogs from puppy mills. She had no funding, covering all of the costs on her own. Her desire to free these beautiful animals from a life of misery trapped in a cage caught on. From there a group of four friends banded together to raise funds for a trip to Ohio where they ultimately rescued 32 dogs. The need for rescuing these dogs was apparent, and in May of 2011, those four founding members recruited more of their friends, and Furever Friends Dog Rescue was formed.
On April 15, 2012 Furever Friends Dog Rescue of WNY, Inc. became a 501(c) (3) nonprofit charitable corporation. Presently the corporation consists of close to 50 members who volunteer their time, and hold dog rescue crusades on a regular basis. To date the group has given new lives to more than 2000 dogs, that finally were able to experience love in their forever homes.
We will work diligently toward our goal until all the cages are empty.
